問題 Lack of 2.5" hard drive thickness standard?

I have just bought a cheap (non-enermax) 2.5" hard drive enclosure. I realised i cant put my Fujitsu Hornet (MHV2160BT) drive into it, becouse its too thick. Made a little bit of "research" and i have found out there is no exact standard for 2.5" HDD thickness. (Or if there is it determines a range of 7 to 15 milimeters.) So, as far as i know this is the only HDD form factor without strict thickness rules. Especially the new 500-1000GB drives are thicker then others.

I am thinking of buying one of your nice looking 2.5" enclosure, but i want to make sure that my Fusjitsu drive fits well into it. (I measured it n it is around 10 mm thick.)

So my question is: What is the maximum thickness of the hard drives that I can use in your 2.5" enclosures? (Jazz, Nappa, Brick)

Hi Enertut,

All our series' support 9.5mm high HDDs. That is the standard height. Your Fujitsu HDD is a little higher than that and non-standard.
